Instructions for the DNA testing

Types of DNA testing services in Ramathibodi Hospital
1. DNA Fingerprint : The test for fatherhood-motherhood-offspring relationship
2. Mitochondrial DNA : The test for familial maternity inherited (female inherited)
3. Y-STR : The test for familial paternity inherited (male inherited)
1. Personal I.D. card (for Thai citizens) and 1 copy
2. Passport (for foreigners / Non-Thai citizens) and 1 copy
3. Birth Certificate (for the child age under 15 years) and 1 copy
1. DNA Fingerprint : 4,300 THB for each person (12,900 THB for 3 persons)
2. Mitochondrial DNA : 8,500 THB for each person
3. Y-STR : 4,300 THB for each person
Note : Please pay in CASH only
. 1. Please come together for three person (father-mother-and child) at Forensic Division Ramathibodi Hospital.
2. We will verify your documents.
3. Pay for your DNA test in cash.
4. Sign your consent for testing the DNA.
5. We will take the photograph of your family (father-mother-and child, all together), labeled
with our DNA testing number (the serial number for each DNA testing case).
6. We will draw your blood as a sample for the DNA testing.
7. Your blood would be labeled with the DNA testing number
8. You'll be appointed to receive the DNA testing report.
9. Your blood would be sent to the DNA laboratory.
10. The report would be finished in 1 month.
(You can receive the DNA report by yourself one month later or tell us to send you by post)
